Common questions
Do I ever have to guess?
No. Every Loomwork puzzle has exactly one solution, and it can be reached by line logic alone: working out each row and column from its clues. Puzzles are checked by a solver before they ship, and generated Endless puzzles are checked the same way.
How do hints work?
Tap the hint button and Loomwork shows the next deduction it can make and says why, for example which cells a long run must cover. Hints and undo are unlimited. A puzzle solved with hints is marked as assisted.
What are Gentle and Classic?
They are two ways of handling mistakes, chosen in Settings › Assist. Gentle shows a wrong mark in red at once and counts nothing against you. Classic checks nothing until the grid is complete, as on paper. There are no lives either way.
How do I turn the sounds off?
Use Settings › Sound and haptics. The sounds also follow your phone's silent switch, and your music or podcast keeps playing underneath.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget, then choose Loomwork. It shows today's puzzle and your streak, and tapping it opens today's puzzle. There's also a Lock Screen version.
How do I restore Loomwork Plus?
Open Settings › Restore purchase (or the same button on the Plus screen) while signed in to the Apple ID you bought with.
What do I get with Plus?
A one-time purchase unlocks every picture pack, Endless at 20×20, 25×25 and 30×30, the Rosewater, Saffron and Graphite themes, your full history and the daily archive. First Threads, the Garden and Kitchen packs, the daily, Endless up to 15×15, the Linen and Indigo Night themes and every control are free.
Will my progress move to a new phone?
Yes, if you're signed in to iCloud and iCloud sync is on in Settings: your finished pictures, best times, daily results and streak follow you to your other devices. With sync off they stay on this device, and still move with an iPhone backup or a phone-to-phone transfer. See the privacy policy.
